McMillan/MacMillan 2011 Reunion

We had a great time at our McMillan/MacMillan 2011 family reunion. We met in Teachey, NC and about 37 attended. We hope to have more family members attend next year. See you there! The date for next year's reunion is Sunday, October 14, 2012. It will start at 12:30 pm, at the Teachey Presbyterian Church in beautiful downtown Teachey, NC. Visiting Relatives

Sue Jarman Whitty is visiting cousins in New York state. In the first picture, left to right, Sue Whitty, Pat Kelly (wife of Ray Kelly), Kathryn Finucane and Kathy Finucane (daughter of Hilda Hearn Kelly). The second picture is of Ray and Pat Kelly. Ray is one of the sons of Hilda Hearn Kelly. Notice the happy smiles. Enjoy!

Time for an Adventure

Sue Jarman Whitty and her husband, Fred, are off again on another traveling adventure around the USA. This time they started off in beautiful New Bern at the KOA campground. This is Fred relaxing before that long drive ahead of him.

Hearn reunion but they are McMillans too

Dad found a prize

This is Walden Hearn Sr. in 1988, holding a skin that a snake had shed in the grass. Mom and Dad had a black snake that lived very close to the house. Once when Wes Francis was visiting, he saw the snake and between him and Mom, the snake was named Jake. We've loved the story of Jake and maybe this is his skin?

Memorial Day

I want to thank all of our family membes who have served in the military. Some gave their life for our freedom, and all served our country well. Thank you.

43 years of bliss

This is a picture taken 43 years ago, in March 1968, when Walden and Linda Hearn were married. Happy anniversary!!

Jane and Nancy Hearn

This picture was taken long ago, but it reminded me that Easter is not far off. Nancy and I were in our Easter outfits and hats. Our family celebrated Easter with church and then an egg hunt. We had so much fun during these family times.

Gone but not Forgotten

This is Craig Hinton Hearn. He was the "baby" brother of all the Hearns. He was killed in action in Korea in 1951.

Margot Hearn Liggett

Yesterday, Saturday January 22, 2011 Margot Hearn Liggett passed away. We knew her as a sister, a cousin, or a niece. Margot was 54 years old and the third daughter of Walden and Bessie Hearn. We will miss her terribly.
